My sister Betty married John Ratnam, whom I’ve always referred to as Uncle John
At the age of 14 years I moved to Seremban to live with them. I was the first of my family to do so, i.e. go there. A few years later my mother and two sisters followed, he looked after us.
He was a kind hearted and generous person, strict with me but was always there to listen and give advice if you had any problem
It was the same where my mother and sisters were concerned. My sisters stayed in Seremban until they got married
During my visits to Seremban I usually sit and talk to him. I miss him a lot . May his soul rest in peace.
